Now let’s get into discussing the best boats to rent at Lake Powell.
Rainbow Bridge Day Trips
If you want to travel to Rainbow Bridge, the best boat to rent is one of our Lake Powell pontoon boats. Our pontoon boats are fast and smooth on choppy water. You can make it to Rainbow Bridge in around 1 ½ hours from Wahweep or Antelope Point Marinas. Our boats have 90-gallon gas tanks which means you will not have to gas up on the Lake. You will even be able to go all the way to Escalante River and back without having to refuel. You will have plenty of time to relax, explore side canyons, jump off some cliffs, or have fun tubing. It is important to note that some of the smaller boats are not as suited for a trip to Rainbow Bridge. They ride rough through the canyons and have small gas tanks. This would cause you to have to stop at Dangling Rope Marina to refuel and gas is expensive on the Lake.
Lake Powell Wake Surfing
Wake Surfing has become one of the most popular activities on Lake Powell. In our fleet, we offer two of the best Wake Surfing boats. Our Nautique G23 has a world-class surf wake. It was rated for 15 people and has a ballast tank capacity of just under 3,000 pounds. Get ready for a massive wake because it is very easy to drive and is set up for wake surfing. The MasterCraft NXT22 is a great boat for beginner wake surfers with just over 2,100 pounds of ballast tank capacity.
Day Tripping at Lake Powell
Many visitors just want to get out on Lake Powell and enjoy the sun and water activities. Our runabout boats are perfect for pulling tubers, kneeboarders, water skiers, and wakeboarders. There are many fun canyons, beaches, and landmarks to see close to the marinas. Our 21-foot runabouts are perfect for small families to explore Lake Powell.
New for the 2020 boating season, we have purchased a 21′ Chaparral Sunesta 212 that is just great for those that want to explore the lake, and have a smaller group they’d like to take waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, or more.
Lake Powell Jet Skis & Sea-Doo’s
Some people just want adrenaline. Jet Skis and Sea-Doo’s (PWC’s) are perfect for those who
want to go fast and explore the many side canyons in Lake Powell. Our PWC’s can be towed behind houseboats. The main channel is rough and bumpy on Jet Skis and you will have to stop to refuel at Dangling Rope Marina. Due to this, we don’t recommend going all the way to Rainbow Bridge on Jet Skis, although some of our clients do it.
